Bringing a new community to life online
Wintringham is a major new residential development in the Oxford to Cambridge arc, on the edge of St Neots.
For master developer Urban&Civic, and the house builders working alongside them, the website has had an important job to do from the very beginning: helping people understand what Wintringham is, why it is being built, and why they might want to make their home there.
We have worked with Wintringham since the site’s inception, and the challenge has evolved considerably over that time.
In the earliest phase, the priority was transparency and trust: explaining the ecology work taking place before building started, how the archaeology of the site was being handled, how Wintringham would connect to local transport, and what the long-term vision looked like for the community.
As homes have sold and the development has taken shape, the focus has shifted to showcasing what Wintringham is becoming, its facilities, its character, and its future.

A platform that has grown with the development
Throughout each phase, the website has supported both Urban&Civic and their house builders in capturing leads from people looking to buy a home at Wintringham.
That lead generation function has remained constant even as the content around it has evolved.
The site is built on WordPress and performs excellently in carbon testing, which is a meaningful metric for a development of this kind and for a client who takes it seriously.
Search visibility has been maintained throughout, helping to ensure that people researching new homes in the area find Wintringham at the right moment.
What the Wintringham website demonstrates, more than anything, is what a long-term digital partnership looks like in practice.
The site has moved through multiple iterations alongside the development itself, adapting to new phases, new priorities and new audiences, without ever losing the thread of what the project is trying to achieve.
